Principal, Lanette Bellamy

Dr. Lanette Bellamy graduated from Channelview High School and received her Bachelors in English Literature from the University of Houston- Clear Lake. She also received her Masters in Counseling from UHCL and her Principal Certification from St. Thomas University. She has earned her Doctorate in Professional Leadership K-12 from the University of Houston.
Dr. Bellamy started her teaching career in 1995 at Park View Intermediate teaching language arts. After that, she taught English I at Katy High School. Dr. Bellamy first came to CFISD as a counselor at Thornton Middle School and went on to serve as a counselor at Cy-Fair High School and also Truitt Middle School before becoming the Director of Instruction at Truitt. In 2012, Dr. Bellamy became the Director of Instruction at Cypress Ranch High School. In 2016, she became the principal at Labay Middle School.
Dr. Bellamy has served as principal here at Cypress Lakes since 2020 and is proud to lead the greatest student population, staff, and community in the state!
Associate Principal, Nicholas Hightower

Mr. Hightower is a product of CFISD and graduated from Jersey Village High School. Mr. Hightower earned his Bachelors of Science in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University and went on to earn his Masters Degree in Education from Texas A&M Commerce.
Mr. Hightower started his teaching career in 2012, at Young Elementary in HISD. After that, in 2014 he returned to CFISD as a teacher to open Anthony Middle School and serve as a Special Education teacher and coach. In 2017, he continued his role as a teacher and coach at Cypress Lakes before moving on to Klein Oak and eventually beginning his administrator career as an Assistant Principal at Cypress Ranch High School.
In 2025, Mr. Hightower accepted his current position of Associate Principal at Cypress Lakes. He is passionate about servant leadership and preparing students for post-secondary success. He is excited for his return to SPARTA and the entire Cy-Lakes community.
Director of Instruction, Fran Williams

Fran Williams received a Bachelor and master’s degree from Prairie View A&M University. Ms. Williams began her career in education in 1998 at Aldine ISD where she served as a Math Teacher, Math Specialist, Testing Coordinator, and Curriculum & Instruction Assistant Principal. During her career she also served as Teacher Development Specialist for HISD. Her career in CFISD includes Math teacher, Academic Achievement Specialist and currently Director of Instruction.
Assistant Principal, Shirrey Burton

Mrs. Burton graduated high school in 1992 from Dwight D. Eisenhower, then attended Stephen F. Austin and graduated in 1996 with a Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.
She began teaching in 1997 at Truitt Middle School, then went on to receive her Masters in School Administration in 2002.
From 2002-2005, Mrs. Burton because the Academic Achievement Helping Teacher at ISC, followed by being the Academic Achievement Helping Teacher at Cypress Creek from 2005-2008. In the spring of 2008, Mrs. Burton became an Assistant Principal at Thornton Middle School.
Since, 2008, Mrs. Burton has been at Cypress Lakes as Assistant Principal.
Assistant Principal, Heather Elliott

Heather Elliott has 13 years experience in education at middle and high school levels. She has been an English teacher, Literacy Coach, Graduation Coach, and Assistant Principal. Before joining the Cy-Fair school district she had worked in Fort Bend ISD and Houston ISD.
Ms. Elliott earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Houston-Downtown, and her Principal Certification from the University of St.Thomas in Houston.
Assistant Principal, Maribel Helton

Mrs. Helton has 22 years of experience in education at middle and high school levels. She has been a Spanish teacher and Team Leader, Behavior Interventionist, and Assistant Principal. She has opened two schools in our district, Aragon Middle School and Cypress Lakes High School.
Mrs. Helton earned her Associates Degree in Biology from Blinn College, Bachelors of Arts from Texas A&M University, and Masters of Education in Administration from the University of Sam Houston.
Assistant Principal, Jay Janca

Mr. Janca received his Bachelor of Business Administration/Marketing from Schreiner University. He began his educational career at Dean Middle School teaching US History, coaching football, and was Social Studies Department Chair. After 10 years at Dean Middle School, Mr. Janca obtained his Masters of Education degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and joined the Cypress Lakes High School administrative team in 2010 as an assistant principal.
Assistant Principal, Susan Luce

Susan Luce received her Bachelor’s of Science in Special Education from The University of West Alabama in 2004. She began her career in Cypress Fairbanks ISD in 2004 at Hamilton Middle School as a PE teacher and coach. Throughout her time in CFISD, she has served as a Resource Reading teacher and Special Education Liaison. In 2017, she received her Masters Degree in Administration and Leadership from The University of North Texas. She served as the High School Special Education Teacher Support at Cypress Lakes High School for two years before being named an Assistant Principal in 2020.
Assistant Principal, Tanisha Simmons

Tanisha Simmons has 20-years of experience in education, she has taught both science and PALs (Peer Assistance and Leadership), providing students with a well-rounded educational experience. Starting in the Houston Independent School District (HISD), she expanded her influence as an educator and coach, in basketball and track. She has been at Cypress Lakes since 2008, contributing to both academic and extracurricular growth. Her foundation in education was strengthened by her time at Indiana University, where she developed the knowledge and skills that have guided her dedication to teaching and mentoring students.
