Principal, Lanette Bellamy

Dr. Lanette Bellamy graduated from Channelview High School and received her Bachelors in English Literature from the University of Houston- Clear Lake. She also received her Masters in Counseling from UHCL and her Principal Certification from St. Thomas University. She has earned her Doctorate in Professional Leadership K-12 from the University of Houston.
Dr. Bellamy started her teaching career in 1995 at Park View Intermediate teaching language arts. After that, she taught English I at Katy High School. Dr. Bellamy first came to CFISD as a counselor at Thornton Middle School and went on to serve as a counselor at Cy-Fair High School and also Truitt Middle School before becoming the Director of Instruction at Truitt. In 2012, Dr. Bellamy became the Director of Instruction at Cypress Ranch High School. In 2016, she became the principal at Labay Middle School. Dr. Bellamy is excited to have recently been named the principal of Cypress Lakes High School and is excited to continue the great things Cy Lakes is known for.
Associate Principal, Sandra Paiz

Ms. Sandra Paiz grew up in Rosenberg, Texas, attended Lamar Consolidated High School and graduated from Goshen High School in Goshen, Indiana in 1988. She graduated in 1992 with a B.A. in Journalism and a Minor in English from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
Ms. Paiz began her teaching career in 1993 with grades K-8 at Living Water Christian School where she taught PE and English/Language Arts. Upon receiving her teaching certification from Houston Baptist University in 1995, she began teaching in Lamar Consolidated ISD and also taught in Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD and Ft. Bend ISD.
In 2004, Ms. Paiz was hired in Cy Fair ISD at Cy Springs High School where she taught English and was also a coach. In 2005, Ms. Paiz received her M. Ed. from Prairie View A&M University and became an assistant principal in 2006.
In 2008, Ms. Paiz opened Cy Lakes High School as an assistant principal and held the position until 2020 when she became the Associate Principal. She is proud to begin her 16th year at Cy Lakes and her 30th year in education.
Director of Instruction, Fran Williams

Fran Williams received a Bachelor and master’s degree from Prairie View A&M University. Ms. Williams began her career in education in 1998 at Aldine ISD where she served as a Math Teacher, Math Specialist, Testing Coordinator, and Curriculum & Instruction Assistant Principal. During her career she also served as Teacher Development Specialist for HISD. Her career in CFISD includes Math teacher, Academic Achievement Specialist and currently Director of Instruction.
Assistant Principal, Shirrey Burton

Mrs. Burton graduated high school in 1992 from Dwight D. Eisenhower, then attended Stephen F. Austin and graduated in 1996 with a Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.
She began teaching in 1997 at Truitt Middle School, then went on to receive her Masters in School Administration in 2002.
From 2002-2005, Mrs. Burton because the Academic Achievement Helping Teacher at ISC, followed by being the Academic Achievement Helping Teacher at Cypress Creek from 2005-2008. In the spring of 2008, Mrs. Burton became an Assistant Principal at Thornton Middle School.
Since, 2008, Mrs. Burton has been at Cypress Lakes as Assistant Principal.
Assistant Principal, Heather Elliott

Heather Elliott has 13 years experience in education at middle and high school levels. She has been an English teacher, Literacy Coach, Graduation Coach, and Assistant Principal. Before joining the Cy-Fair school district she had worked in Fort Bend ISD and Houston ISD.
Ms. Elliott earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Houston-Downtown, and her Principal Certification from the University of St.Thomas in Houston.
Assistant Principal, Maribel Helton

Mrs. Helton has 22 years of experience in education at middle and high school levels. She has been a Spanish teacher and Team Leader, Behavior Interventionist, and Assistant Principal. She has opened two schools in our district, Aragon Middle School and Cypress Lakes High School.
Mrs. Helton earned her Associates Degree in Biology from Blinn College, Bachelors of Arts from Texas A&M University, and Masters of Education in Administration from the University of Sam Houston.
Assistant Principal, Jay Janca

Mr. Janca received his Bachelor of Business Administration/Marketing from Schreiner University. He began his educational career at Dean Middle School teaching US History, coaching football, and was Social Studies Department Chair. After 10 years at Dean Middle School, Mr. Janca obtained his Masters of Education degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and joined the Cypress Lakes High School administrative team in 2010 as an assistant principal.
Assistant Principal, Susan Luce

Susan Luce received her Bachelor’s of Science in Special Education from The University of West Alabama in 2004. She began her career in Cypress Fairbanks ISD in 2004 at Hamilton Middle School as a PE teacher and coach. Throughout her time in CFISD, she has served as a Resource Reading teacher and Special Education Liaison. In 2017, she received her Masters Degree in Administration and Leadership from The University of North Texas. She served as the High School Special Education Teacher Support at Cypress Lakes High School for two years before being named an Assistant Principal in 2020.
Assistant Principal, Tanisha Simmons

Tanisha Simmons has 20-years of experience in education, she has taught both science and PALs (Peer Assistance and Leadership), providing students with a well-rounded educational experience. Starting in the Houston Independent School District (HISD), she expanded her influence as an educator and coach, in basketball and track. She has been at Cypress Lakes since 2008, contributing to both academic and extracurricular growth. Her foundation in education was strengthened by her time at Indiana University, where she developed the knowledge and skills that have guided her dedication to teaching and mentoring students.
Assistant Principal, Tyisha Jenkins

Tyisha Jenkins is a proud alumna of Cypress Fairbanks ISD, where her journey began at Holbrook Elementary, Dean Intermediate, Truitt Middle School, and Cypress Falls High School. With a Bachelor of Science in Human Performance and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Prairie View A&M University, Ms. Jenkins has dedicated over 20 years to educating and empowering students in the district.
Her passion for education was immediately recognized when she was offered a teaching position at Cypress Springs High School on the day of her college graduation in 2002. Since then, Ms. Jenkins has worn many hats, from coaching volleyball, basketball, and track and field, to sponsoring PALs, and teaching in the English department. Her dedication and leadership have also led her to serve as a 504 Specialist at Bridgeland High School and an assistant principal at Aragon Middle School.
Now, as an assistant principal at Cypress Lakes High School, Ms. Jenkins continues to inspire and guide students to become the best version of themselves, drawing from her wealth of experience and unwavering commitment to their success.
