CFISD girls’ basketball players qualify for 2024 academic all-district teams
Cypress Lakes High School senior Aniah Alexis was among the 97 student-athletes named to the academic all-district girls’ basketball teams.
July 11, 2024—More than 90 CFISD student-athletes qualified for the Academic All-District 16-6A and 17-6A girls’ basketball teams.
Cypress Falls High School junior Raquel Hawk was among the student-athletes named to the 16-6A Academic All-District Girls’ Basketball Team.
All 12 CFISD high school programs were represented by the 97 students who earned the academic all-district recognition. Those who earned the honor finished the 2023-2024 season in good standing and earned a composite weighted grade point average of 5.5 or higher for all classes for the two identified six weeks that make up the majority of their regular season.
Cypress Creek High School sophomore Aubrey Hampton was named to the 17-6A Academic All-District Girls’ Basketball Team.
“The 2024 women’s basketball season was filled with highlights and memorable moments from start to finish,” said Ronald Patton, CFISD associate director of athletics. “Our coaches and players left it all on the court and in doing so, we found two of our teams competing in the regional tournament. Collectively their work was equally remarkable in the classroom. We are extremely proud and want to recognize our 97 Academic All District ladies for their commitment to excellence on and off the court.”
Jersey Village High School senior Jayla Lewis was named to the 17-6A Academic All-District Girls’ Basketball Team.
